DR. CHRISTOPH WAGNER (Cello) is renowned cellist and sought-after educator, celebrated for his international artistic prowess. With accolades including first prizes at the German Youth Competition, the Ribalta Mozart Italia competition, and the Peter-Pirazzi Competition, he has graced prestigious stages worldwide, from the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne to festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. A dedicated music ambassador, he has received fellowships from Live Music Now – Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and DA CAMERA Houston. Dr. Wagner’s musical journey led him to a Bachelor of Music, a Master of Music from Indiana University, Bloomington/IN, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. He has shared his passion as adjunct faculty at Lone Star College-University Park in Houston and currently imparts his expertise as Assistant Professor of Cello at the University of New Mexico.
